## How do I publish PostSprout articles to my Shopify blog?

Open **Settings** and connect your store using **Connect with Shopify** when that option is available. Finish the Shopify authorization, test the connection and choose the destination **Blog**. Set **Publish Target** to **Shopify blog** and save it. Only the blog owner can change the publishing connection.

## When to use it

Use this connection for articles on your Shopify store's blog. Importing public Shopify products under **Brand** is separate from connecting a store for publishing.

## Steps

1. Open **Settings**, then **Shopify Blog Connection**. Under **Connect with Shopify**, enter your store's `your-store.myshopify.com` domain and choose **Connect with Shopify**. Complete the Shopify authorization.

2. If PostSprout shows a pending store installation, choose **Finish connecting** to link it to your current blog.

3. Choose **Test Connection** to load the store's blogs. If the store has no blogs, the connection test creates a **News** blog.

4. Select the destination **Blog** and choose **Save**. Set **Publish Target** to **Shopify blog** and choose **Save Target**.

If you already use a custom Admin API token, the same card has **Shop domain** and **Admin API access token** fields. A saved token can be used for testing without pasting it again. Use the app connection when it is available and you do not have a custom token.

## Settings

| Option | What it changes |
| --- | --- |
| **Connect with Shopify** | Starts the store authorization flow. |
| **Shop domain** | Identifies the store, using its `myshopify.com` domain. |
| **Admin API access token** | Supplies a custom token. Leaving this empty keeps an existing token. |
| **Blog** | Chooses which Shopify blog receives articles. Test the connection to load choices. |
| **Publish Target** | Select **Shopify blog** to use this destination. |

## Common problems and fixes

**“Invalid shop domain. Expected your-store.myshopify.com”** means the domain does not match the required store format. Enter the store's `myshopify.com` domain.

A store installed through Shopify authorization cannot be switched by editing the saved domain. Use **Connect with Shopify** to connect the other store.

If a saved custom token belongs to a different store, enter a token for the new store before testing it. Check both the selected blog and **Publish Target** if articles do not appear where you expect.
